Service Description

This evening will be a magical collaboration with Dr Aude Odunlade, an Astrophysicist at the University of Exeter with a background in the world of stars and planets also working at the London Planetarium. So this will be an introduction to a 2026 star series that will all be based in Sidmouth leading to more star events at the Norman Lockyer Observatory and the Sidmouth Science Festival. Stargazing is at its best on crisp, clear winter nights when the moon is in the crescent or gibbous phase. Wrapping up warm and bring a flask and something comfy to sit/lie on as we learn and bathe under the stars and this will of course be weather dependent so if for any reason it is not suitable weatherwise to be out; then your ticket for the star gazing part will either be refunded or we can move it to another suitable moon phase in Jan/Feb.
